October 2, 2013 - INSYS icom introduces EBW-W100 and WLAN/HSPA industrial routers. The units are ideally suited for standard routing tasks that do not require increased flexibility. The routers have a robust design and provide a good price/performance ratio. Extensive security features, such as a firewall and VPN, ensure that data traffic is protected against unauthorised access. The EBW-W100 model is a WLAN-to-LAN router.
Equipped with a 2-port switch, it operates as a WLAN station (Access Client), e.g. for versatile manufacturing setups or vending machines.
The EBWH-100 model features an additional HSPA interface that ensures access to the application even when no WLAN is available. This is essential for mobile applications, such as passenger information systems. In addition to the two new models, the EBW series comprises the LAN-to-LAN router EBW-E100 and the HSPA cellular router EBW-H100.
All EBW units are pre-configured for operation with the INSYS Connectivity Service for VPN connections. Via quick start, they can be securely integrated into VPN networks in just a few steps. This service offers options like group and connection management, direct access to the application, and the free assignment of the IP addresses.
