January 28, 2009 – The MDrive product line doubles the performance of its smallest and lowest cost all-in-one motion control products with the addition of a NEMA size 14 triple stack motor option for its MDrive14Plus products. MDrive14Plus products integrate a NEMA size 14 brushless 1.8° stepping motor with electronics for an ultra-compact motion control solution ideal for a wide range of applications with limited space.
Measuring a mere 2” high x 1.4” wide, lengths are 2” for a single motor or 3” for a triple motor which also provides twice the motor holding torque at 36 oz-in.The MDrive14Plus is capable of full (256 x 200) microstepping with a +12 to +48 VDC integrated driver. Unsurpassed smoothness and performance is achieved by applying innovative techniques to control current flow through the motor so resonance is significantly dampened over the entire speed range and audible noise reduced. Oversized input capacitors minimize power line surges, reducing problems that can occur with long cable runs and multiple drive systems.
And an extended operating range of –40° to +85°C provides long life, trouble free service in demanding environments. The MDrive14Plus is available with a number of options to allow customization of standard products to meet specific application requirements.
