Described as raising the bar for video inspection, the Saturn is innovative, multifunctional, and cost effective! The Saturn utilizes the latest in CCD sensor technology to achieve crystal clear images. Through unparalleled depth of field, unique viewing angles, and dynamic magnification ranges, the Saturn does raise the standards by which the bar is set. Variable magnification range between 1.75 x to 168 x, working distance of 6” to 26”, and depth of focus beyond 5” the Saturn spans a wide range of application specific inspection solutions.

Our innovative constant focus lens design ensures that once an image is focused, it remains in focus, even if the operator changes magnification.Inspection of small components or full assemblies is handled with equal ease. The ability to change from 1.75 x to 168 x magnification while maintaining a consistent field of focus eliminates the need to adjust optics when handling or adjusting the angle of the target. Employing an articulated anti vibration arm to minimize oscillations, (observed in conventional systems) and ball-joint swivel head assembly, unique viewing angles are achieved simply by pointing the Saturn at the region of concern.

The built in laser positioning indicator pinpoints area of interest, eliminating confusion while searching a point of interest. The swivel mount c-clamp may be positioned on any edge of the workstation or if removed, the arm mounts on the wall, saving valuable space. The true measure of an inspection system today is its ability to perform in the real world. The Saturn’s unique optics provide for quick and constant focus over a wide magnification range.Ergonomic BenefitsTypical binocular microscopes require operator to constantly maintain a fixed position with his/her eyes resting on the Diopter eyepiece, while precisely holding an object a fixed distance from the lens and the focal point is cause for fatigue.

The Saturn allows the operator more freedom to view the target while remaining in a relaxed position. Similar to watching TV, the viewing process eliminates neck, back and eye strain, and offers greater efficiency with less exposure to industrial injury found with repetitive motion or awkward operator positioning found with microscopes.Significant Depth of FieldSmall parts with three-dimensional characteristics, like components on circuit boards, remain in focus with the Saturn’s exceptional 5” depth-of-field.

This is ideal for those applications where angles are constantly changing.Broad Field of ViewOur standard 14" diagonal hi-resolution color monitor provides a remarkably large distortion-free field of view ranging from 0.14” sq. to 6”. Electronically Archived ImagesUn-like binocular eyepiece systems, which only offer single operator viewing, The Saturn can incorporate a host of peripheral components.

Add a VCR, and record training tapes, creating a company library of instruction on all products developed. Add a video acquisition card/frame grabber and store images to your PC for later retrieval. Our non-contact measurement software creates an on-screen measurement tool similar to a caliper or video micrometer. Measure circles, point- to-point, angles, or even line widths with a simple point-and-click approach. Compare stored “Golden Samples” with new production run samples, or ghost over a live image and compare the screen results to ensure accuracy.

These digital formats can then be sent via e-mail, with annotations. Documenting the SourceFor quality control, videotaping is easy. The installation of a VCR and microphone are all that’s required. Optional printers make printing an image off the screen quick and easy. Have you discovered an unusual flaw that the engineering department needs to SEE? Do your ISO standards require "hard copy" of certain inspection data? Do you want to supplement your training manual with a videotape for new employees, demonstrating what "good products" and "bad products" look like? All of these can be addressed with either a videotape or screen-printed document.

Maybe you would like to save valuable time communicating a failure with a vendor or sub-contractor. Simply install our MS-7000 video acquisition card/frame grabber to your PC and images can be sent via the Internet closing the communications gap between vendor and manufacturer. The training aidTraining of new employees and refreshing experienced employees is easy! Videotapes can be made to show "acceptable quality," or " best practices," or to identify particular types of defects, using real-world samples. Since a roomful of employees can observe the same video monitor with a big-screen display, group training can be conducted with high efficiency instead of taking turns looking through a microscope. The trainer and trainee can see the same image at the same time.

Best of all, Intelligent Vision Solutions’ Saturn is intuitive, making it easy-to-use reducing training time to a minimum.Easy to ConfigureThe Saturn’s functional capabilities are designed to effectively meet the requirements of assembly, testing and inspection operations. There is no need to search through catalogs hunting down components or parts to re-configure your video inspection system. The Saturn has carefully been engineered for optimal performance with you in mind.Whether you prefer hi-resolution color monitor or sleek low profile TFT screens, Halogen or Fiber Optic illumination, digital enhancements or measurement software, Intelligent Vision Solutions provides intuitive, hassle-free solutions.

With four (4) versions ranging in price from $ 2,995 to $3,895, each system comes complete with a hi-resolution color monitor, system connection cables, and unparalleled (5) five year warranty* .

The Saturn sets up and ready to work in only minutes. * Details are available at www.visionneeds.com For more information, contact: Chuck Dillener Jr. with Intelligent Vision Solutions, 479 South Stewart St. # 4 Sonora, CA 95370Phone 209-533-4783 Fax 413-638-5799 or visit their website: www.visionneeds.com
