EVERETT, Wash., May 22, 2006 - Intermec Inc. today announced it has been recognized by Cisco Systems, Inc., as Cisco's U.S.
Solutions Technology Integrator (STI) Partner of the Year for 2005, during Cisco's annual Partner Summit in San Diego, Calif. This is the second consecutive year Intermec has been named a Cisco U.S. STI Partner of the Year. The Cisco Partner Summit Theater Awards are conferred to partners who meet and score the highest on a specific set of requirements that are designed to identify the best channel partners by theater.
These include customer satisfaction, year-over-year growth of Cisco sales and complying with the Cisco Channel Partner Program. "I consider our partners as an extension of our sales capability and, like any good sales organization, we want to recognize and reward our top performers," said Chuck Robbins, vice president of U.S. /Canada Channels, Cisco Systems. "At our annual Partner Summit, I had the privilege of recognizing our top partner performers for 2005.

Intermec incorporates Cisco Compatible Extensions (CCX) into all its wireless data collection devices, and its professional services capabilities include site survey and installation of Cisco's wireless infrastructure.
Among a range of collaborations, Intermec and Cisco recently introduced the Forklift of the Future, which pairs Intermec's expertise in RFID and mobile computing with the Cisco Unified Wireless Network and the Cisco Wireless Location Appliance to create the concept of a forklift as a mobile data collection communications hub.
