ISA12's Production Level Elevated following Meetings

The ISA12 Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Locations meetings in Cape Cod last month culminated in more than five draft standards out for ballot (covering areas such as gas detectors, nonincendive equipment, and instrument purging). On November 1st, ISA submitted 35 proposals to the NFPA for the 2014 National Electrical Code®, following up on successfully accepted proposals to the 2008 and 2011 NEC®. In addition, ISA is finalizing a co-publication agreement with CSA (Canadian Standards Association); ISA12 has previously co-published six standards with UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and one standard with FM (Factory Mutual). ISA12 encourages new participants to attend the spring 2012 meetings in Orlando, Florida, March 12-16.
