Rabbit Semiconductor, Inc., in collaboration with OEM Technology Solutions, recently announced the availability of their new Embedded PLC Application Kit, which offers Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) developers the ability to use Rabbit Semiconductor's low-cost hardware as a replacement for more expensive PLC systems.
The Rabbit Embedded PLC Application kit includes all of the hardware and software required to develop this low-cost PLC replacement system: the ISaGRAF Application Workbench, ISaGRAF programming cable, and the Rabbit BL2500 single board computer with embedded micro PLC firmware kernel. The use of the supplied ISaGRAF Workbench offers a smooth transition for traditional PLC programmers. The ISaGRAF Workbench provides tools for editing, debugging, code generation, documentation, library management, archiving, on-line monitoring, off-line simulation and on-line changes.
The ISaGRAF control engine is already in use in hundreds of thousands of controllers around the world in a variety of automation products including PLCs, embedded controllers, Distributed Control Systems (DCSs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems and motion controllers.
