Enhancements include upgraded 32-bit hardware, support for standard browsers from any platform (PC, MAC, iPad, iPhone, Android smartphones) and security features.

October 11, 2013 - Kamstrup released OMNICON UtiliKeeper – a component within the OMNIA Suite that provides insight into secondary sub-stations and from there enables easy grid optimization. OMNICON UtiliKeeper is a next generation, smart grid component building on previous generations of UtiliKeeper, but comes with significantly upgraded 32-bit hardware, support for standard browsers from any platform (PC, MAC, iPad, iPhone, Android smartphones) and security features matching today’s strict requirements. The OMNICON UtiliKeeper solution scales with the utility’s smart grid needs. It allows any utility to start out simple and then grow as needs increase.

It works e.g. as a stand-alone solution where alarms are sent to the operational staff either as SMS, e-mail or both, or UtiliKeeper can send alarms directly into the utility’s central SCADA system via the standard protocol IEC 60870-5-104.
