November 16, 2006 - KME is pleased to announce the introduction of large format Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) for use in control rooms, public information displays and digital signage.The enhanced widescreen format is offered in standard sizes of 32”, 40” and 46” and, depending on the style chosen, the monitors are also available with KME’s new transflective and optically bonded glass system, Heliobondä. Heliobondä eliminates the effects of the suns glare on screen by utilising a transflective enhancement to enable the monitor to be used in outdoor or ambient light conditions providing near perfect display with marine-fit protection.
Utilising WXGA TFT panels with KME designed mechanical enhancements; the large format series of LCD monitors give superior image performance and ruggedness suitable for all monitor display requirements. They provide widescreen (16:9) formats up to WXGA resolution enabling high brightness and wide viewing angles. Controls are provided via remote control and the AC power supply is integrated in the rear of the unit to protect against tampering and vandalism.For indoor use, you can choose either a lightweight plastic case with 4mm polycarbonate, shatter proof screen or a 3mm toughened glass, scratch proof screen, or you can have a rugged metal case with 3mm toughened or 6mm laminated glass front for anti-vandal protection.
For outdoor applications, the monitors can be provided with a rugged metal case that is IP65 sealed to withstand dust and moisture along with the option of the 3mm toughened glass front or a 6mm laminated glass front.Established in 1976, KME design and manufacture a complete range of approved LCD-TFT and CRT monitors for the worldwide market.
