May 19, 2009 – Key Instruments, a division of Brooks Instrument, is celebrating their 50th year anniversary this month. Founded in 1959, Key Instruments began as a manufacturer of injection-molded parts for various industries. In the 1970s, Key Instruments began focusing exclusively on the manufacturing of high-grade flow meters, starting with acrylic flow meters, and then expanded to include molded flow meters, glass flow meters, electronic flow meters, and more. Today, the Key Instruments flow meter manufacturing facility in Trevose, Pennsylvania comprises one of the largest manufacturers of flow meters in the world.

The company has a long history of problem-solving engineering and technical proficiency and is strongly focused on providing high quality standard and custom flow meters on-time and on-budget to exact customer specifications. “The past 50 years has been great for Key Instruments,” stated Donald Frick, President, Key Instruments. “It’s exciting that in the year we turn 50 we also start a new chapter at Key with recently being acquired by Brooks Instrument. We’re looking forward to continuing to grow our business with the Brooks sales channel for the next 50 years and more.”
