March 7, 2014 -Korenix releases JetWave 2800 Mesh AP outdoor access point that provides WLAN client access in the mesh and backhaul client connections A wireless mesh network is a communications network made up of radio nodes organized in a mesh topology. Wireless mesh networks consist of mesh clients, mesh routers and gateways. Each router and gateway within the mesh is typically connected through two or more devices, which provides a number of different paths available for network communications. The mesh technology offers several important benefits and overcomes the challenges of industrial wireless applications. Described as below: A mesh network is reliable and offers redundancy.

Mesh networks look for the most efficient path available and will automatically re-route messages to avoid any failures. When one node can no longer operate, the rest of the nodes can still communicate with each other, directly or through one or more intermediate nodes. This is why mesh networks are often referred to as self-healing: the network automatically works around problems that it encounters. As a user adds more nodes/devices, it becomes faster as it can optimize over a larger number of devices to reduce network traffic problems.
