KW Software updates ProConOS software

ProConOS embedded CLR (eCLR) IEC 61131 runtime system for PLCs now supports the Zynq-7000 All Programmable platform from Xilinx.

March 14, 2013 - KW-Software,announces its IEC 61131 runtime system for PLCs on the Zynq-7000 All Programmable platform. Whether with or without subordinate operating system, KW-Software´s ProConOS embedded CLR (eCLR) provides all functionalities required for the realization of a complete PLC on the basis of embedded platforms like Zynq-7000 devices. The platforms have multitasking capability, support of system events, provision of a device interface for commissioning, along with debugging and monitoring. ProConOS eCLR is based on .NET technology from Microsoft and uses an Ahead-Of-Time-Compiler (AOT), which compiles the CIL intermediate code already in advance.

This way, embedded applications benefit from optimized real-time properties. The processing of native machine code makes control solutions based on the Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC extremely fast. ProConOS eCLR can be programmed in C# and in IEC 61131 languages. ”KW-Software´s PLC runtime system completes the portfolio of application level solutions for Xilinx’ unique Zynq All Programmable platform for PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller).
