Lenox introduces Hot Area Camera HD II
The Hot Area Camera HD II is capable of operating in temperatures up to 500°F (260°C).

September 9, 2015 - Lenox Instrument Company introduces Hot Area Camera HD II that is designed for safe, real time inspection/monitoring in harsh, extreme heat industrial environments found in foundries, heat treating, steel, glass, cement and paper manufacturing.

The camera’s rugged stainless steel housing provides a uniform flow path of cooling water that protects the internal high-resolution, color video camera, and pressurized purge air aids cooling and prevention of dust/deposits forming on the front window/lens. The camera HD II is capable of operating in temperatures up to 500°F (260°C) with mechanical pinhole viewing arrangement or 300°F (149°C) with front window and can be configured with a variety of lens options, including zoom capability, and mounting choices such as cradle-mount and pan-and-tilt.

Each camera is supplied standard with an analog RS170 video output. Ethernet 10/100 Base output is available as an option. An AC (100-240V, 50/60Hz) input power connection is provided by a supplied type SJO power cord.

An optional high-efficiency compressed Air Filter System for removing oil, water and particulates ensures clean, dry purge air. The Air Filter System uses a self–purging coalescing filter and a pressure differential switch, which may be wired to an alarm, letting the operator know when it’s time to change the filter elements.
