December 5, 2011 - Lenze Americas plans to open a Mechanical Product Assembly & Logistics Center in Glendale Heights, Illinois. The 100,000 square foot facility will support the Lenze electro-mechanical product manufacturing operations and bring up to 40 skilled jobs to the Chicago region. “Rapid growth in the electro-mechanical business has boosted demand for Lenze products,” says Gene Wood, Director of Operations, Lenze. “The new facility will allow us to provide more flexible service and reduced costs for delivery of electro-mechanical products.
We chose Chicagoland as the ideal location from which to support current and future Lenze customers.” Lenze products are found in many industries including automotive, packaging, material handling and logistics, robotics, and commercial equipment. The complete line features ultra-efficient inverters, sophisticated servo automation systems, and robustly engineered gear motors and mechanical components. The relocation to the Chicago area will include all aspects of manufacturing operations for Lenze gearboxes, motors, and geared motors.
Skilled Jobs Available at New Location
Lenze has begun accepting resumes and hiring is underway for projected employment opportunities at the new Assembly & Logistics Center in Glendale Heights. Skilled and experienced professionals will be needed in the areas of Production, Assembly, Machining, Painting, Warehouse/Logistics, Repair Technicians, Quality/Safety, Engineering, Purchasing, and Office/Clerks. The new Mechanical Product Assembly & Logistics Center will more than double Lenze’s North American electro-mechanical manufacturing capacity. Lenze selected local contractors to oversee the multi-million dollar Glendale Heights building retrofit. The industrial building renovations include an extensive office build-out for the Lenze sales and customer service teams.
A state-of-the-art $1.2 million automated paint assembly line, powered by Lenze motors and gearboxes, will reduce painting time and expedite shipment of assembled products. “Marty Olsen and his team at the Department of Community Development in Glendale Heights have been exceptionally welcoming and instrumental in helping us move this project forward.
