October 13, 2011 - LOHMEIER revised its RS line of modular cabinets and suite systems. The RS enclosures not only minimize installation efforts for users, but also ensure that all orders are short and intuitive: a suite installation can be created by means of merely six screws. RS installation time, which was already shorter than for all other modular enclosures on the market, has thereby been reduced to less than five minutes per suite connection. As before, all necessary installation material is automatically included with every enclosure and need not be ordered separately. The mounting plates now feature a simplified screw connection on the upper side and a plug-in or optional screw connection on the bottom side, which allows for quick installation and removal.
Additionally, small plastic feet at the mounting plate's bottom side ensure non-slip stability and provide protection against shocks when the plate is put down and handled outside the cabinet. The mounting plates also feature a millimeter scale that facilitates handling, populating and wiring. These work steps can also be carried out by LOHMEIER's machining service, which can achieve any desired result through especially cost-efficient punching or lasering of the blanks, and then delivers the finished mounting plates. Moreover, the geometry of the three-part bottom plates has been optimized, allowing for a more flexible layout of the plates and the cable entry through the plinth. LOHMEIER delivers enclosure plinths readily assembled on request.
By default, they are delivered pre-assembled, thereby minimizing installation efforts or eliminating it completely. The torsion-resistant enclosure construction principle, which ensures extreme stability, has been maintained: it is based on four primary system profiles that are integrated to the roof and bottom units by diagonal welds. Four M16 heavy-duty eye bolts are included in delivery: screwed to the enclosure top, they serve as transport fixtures.
