SAN DIEGO, Calif., March 6, 2006 -- The LXI Consortium held its fourth PlugFest event last month, helping member companies begin verifying compliance with the LXI specification. A variety of products from Agilent Technologies, Keithley Instruments, Inc., Rohde & Schwarz and Symmetricom were tested in key areas of the specification, including LAN functionality, Web interface, programming API and hardware triggering.

The event, which took place Feb. 14-16 in Irvine, Calif., was attended by 46 members of the LXI Consortium. “With a solid spec in place, this fourth PlugFest showed our collective shift in focus toward helping members implement the spec and verify their products for compliance,” said Bob Rennard, LXI Consortium president.

“It’s exciting to see the increasing depth and breadth of test equipment that is on track for LXI certification.” Added Jon Semancik, vice president and treasurer of the LXI Consortium, “A major highlight of the event was the development of an LXI-based multi-vendor demonstration. The cooperation and collaboration of our worldwide member companies is rapidly advancing the creation and delivery of LXI.”
