February 16, 2010 - Malvern Instruments appointed Terry Liu to the role of Process Specialist. Terry is part of the Malvern China team and works from the company’s Shanghai office. He will support customers across a range of industries in their implementation of Insitec in- on- and at-line solutions for particle size measurement and process optimization.A graduate of the Nanjing University of Technology, Terry Liu has a degree in instrument and automation. Before joining Malvern he worked at the Tianjin Institute of Chemical Engineering Design and has experience working with industry automation and petrochemical projects.

Terry will also be involved in delivering Malvern’s consultancy service. Offered on a fixed fee basis, this combines an in situ plant trial of the Insitec system with expert advice. Such a trial over several days allows customers to fully explore the potential benefits of real-time monitoring on their own process and quantify payback times with confidence, ahead of investing in on-line technology.
