March 16, 2010 - Honeywell announced that MatrikonOPC has joined the Honeywell’s PKS Advantage Program and has achieved HPKS compliance certification of its third-party connectivity OPC Server. With this collaborative agreement, MatrikonOPC now supplies the only PKS Compliance Certified OPC connectivity for the Honeywell’s Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS). The partnership created by the PKS Advantage program provides benefits to customers of both MatrikonOPC and Honeywell. Joint integration certification leads to improved asset availability and effectiveness, optimized process throughput and work processes, and lower costs of ownership, operations and maintenance.Automation products and systems should allow for seamless interoperability through open, yet secure, industry standards.
