MCAA appoints Teresa Sebring as President of the Association

Mrs. Sebring joined MCAA in 1997 as Administrative Assistant to the President. Since 2012 she has served as Vice-­‐President and has been responsible for operations of MCAA including: communications, data programs and staff oversight, marketing and meeting/event planning.

August 31, 2016 -- Effective August 1, 2016, the Board of Directors of the Measurement, Control & Automation Association (MCAA) appointed Teresa Sebring as President of the Association.

As she transitions to retirement, Immediate Past President Cynthia Esher will continue to be involved with MCAA in an advisory capacity as Executive Consultant to the President.

Mrs. Sebring joined MCAA in 1997 as Administrative Assistant to the President. Since 2012 she has served as Vice-‚ÄêPresident and has been responsible for operations of MCAA including: communications, data programs and staff oversight, marketing and meeting/event planning. She also contributes her talents to membership development, retention, and strategic planning. She holds a BA in Business Management from Christopher Newport University.

Even with the change in leadership, Mrs. Sebring stressed that the MCAA support system is still in place. Sebring acknowledged that the world is changing faster than ever and MCAA is ready to deal with those changes. She added, “We have a great team and are lucky to have Cynthia Esher’s wealth of experience and institutional knowledge as a resource in the years to come.”

When asked about her vision for the future of MCAA, Sebring stressed the importance of continuing the legacy set before her and strives to make MCAA the leading solution provider for the process controls industry. “We are talking to the next generation of industry leaders and will position MCAA as the go-‚Äêto solution resource.”
