September 6, 2011 - The PIT5000 from Meriam Process Technologies conducts pipeline hydrostatic pressure tests. Pressure, ambient temperature and pipeline temperature are measured by the system's NIST traceable instrumentation and plotted on one graph versus time. The PC's real time plots feature color coded plot lines and zoom in / out control. Data sets are saved to memory each minute of the test program. The PIT5000 also provides site data entry, data logging, pump stroke counter, limits with associated visual alarms and much more.

PIT5000 software is designed to streamline the hydro-test operator's workload and provide convenient and secure test data. A tab structure allows fast selection of any desired screen. Each tab provides test information, plots, or editable fields as appropriate. A Data Panel of key test parameters is provided along the right hand side of each tab. During the hydrostatic pressure test program, measurements are continuously displayed and those that exceed limits entered during setup are highlighted by a flashing red background.

Data sets are normally saved in one minute intervals to the PC's hard drive. The final report is in the form of a secure electronic file.
