January 17, 2008 - The 4I72 is a quad type III Mini-PCI adapter for the PC/104-PLUS (PCI-ONLY) bus.The 4I72 allows use of 4 Mini-PCI cards like IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN cards in a PC/104-PLUS system.
The 4I72 uses a PCI bus bridge so that only one PC/104-PLUS ‘slot’ is required.The PCI bridge also isolates the Mini-PCI cards from the system, allowing MiniPCI cards to be used in systems with 5V busses.On card jumpers are used to select which PC104-PLUS slot the 4I72 occupies. Status LEDs are provided for the Mini-PCI slots, plus a connector is available for external LEDs.
