Based on a 3U/8HP design and offering an interesting cost-benefit ratio, Munich-based MGV Stromversorgungen has developed its P2071 power supply especially for CompactPCI mini-systems. It comes with two different types of 120/230V mains input - either front feed via an IEC320/C5 cold connector or alternatively rear feed via a 24/8-channel M-power strip. This module offers outputs of 5.1V@8A and 3.3V@10A, also via the M-strip.
Both outputs are no-load protected. The power supply is designed for use with free (hot-air) convection, needing no forced cooling as is often the case with CPCI models. It operates at temperatures ranging from -25° to +70° C (2%/K derating from 50° C). A number of protective devices safeguard both connected appliances and the power supply itself, ensuring cut-off in the case of mains overvoltage or overtemperature and limiting output in the case of overcurrent or overvoltage.
The power supply is EN60950, UL60950 and CSA22.2-950 approved. MGV offers a wide range of standard 19" power supplies with outputs of between 60 and 360 watts. All appliances are all developed and produced in Munich and subject to MGV´s three-year guarantee.
