April 17, 2020 - The thermoMETER TIM 8 pyrometer offers automatic hot and cold spot detection in industrial applications which enables temperature control. Designed for standalone operation without a PC, it combines a pyrometer with an infrared camera. Automatic hot and cold spot detection in automation, machine building and plant monitoring works to increase process reliability. The intelligent thermoMETER TIM 8 is specially designed for these types of application. It stands out due to its optical resolution with a motorized focus which enables remote focusing of the lens.
When the predefined threshold is reached, an alert signal can be output via the integrated process interface. It is, among other things, used for monitoring of control cabinets, process control or for detection of overheated baked goods in a temperature range from -20 to +900 °C. This pyrometer is also suitable for restricted installation spaces. Data output is via an analog output, which means the measuring system is suited to OEM serial applications. An industrial interface with galvanic isolation and three relay and analog outputs each, as well as comprehensive accessories such as air purge collars, protective windows and cooling housings are available as optional extras.
