November 12, 2014 - MicroPower Direct announces MPG-120S 120W open frame AC/DC power supplies specifically designed to meet energy saving eco-design standards. Fabricated on a miniature 3 x 5 inch PC board, they offer a unique combination of high power density, robust performance and economy. Six standard models operate from a universal 85 to 264 VAC input; providing tightly regulated outputs of 12, 24, or 48 VDC. Three models offer a second +5V SB output. Standard features include 89% efficiency, filtering to EN 55022 Class B, and PFC to EN 61000-3.
All models are protected for over voltage, and short circuit faults. The series is approved to EN 60950 and is also compliant with the ErP directive. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the MPG-120S series is greater than 400 khours.
The MPG-120S series is fabricated on a compact 5.0 x 3.0 x 1.35 inch PC Board. Each model is rated for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C (ambient).
With only 7 CFM air flow, the unit may be operated to 150W. With its small footprint, high efficiency, and low standby power; the MPG-120S series is an economical solution for meeting the performance and ECO-design requirements of a wide range of commercial/industrial applications.
