single output, 20W switching power supplies include a universal AC input, full safety approvals, filtering and compact packaging.

February 8, 2013 - MicroPower Direct releases the MPM-20EPB family of single output, 20W switching power supplies. These modules include a universal AC input, full safety approvals, robust filtering and compact packaging.

Five standard models operate from a universal input of 85 to 264 VAC (110 to 370 VDC); providing tightly regulated single outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, or 24 VDC. Standard features include filtering to EN 55022 class B, an input/output isolation of 3,000 VAC, and tight line/load regulation. All models are protected for over voltage, overload and short circuit faults.

The MPM-20EPB has an IEC Safety Class II input (IEC 61140). This means it can be

used without being connected to an earth ground. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) for all models

of the MPM-20EPB series is greater than 300 khours. Each model is fully approved to EN 60950.

The series is RoHS compliant.

All MPM-20EPB series models are packaged in a compact 1.1 x 2.1 x 0.925 inch case. The pin-out is industry standard.

Each model is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C (ambient).

The MPM-20EPB series is an ideal solution for a wide variety of industrial power applications requiring high power density, robust performance, and low cost. With its Class II input, the MPM-20EPB series is a good choice for remote or portable equipment where a reliable ground is often not available.

All MicroPower Direct products are designed to provide long, reliable field life. Considerable attention is given to the proper selection, derating, and layout of all circuit components. In addition, extensive reliability screening is also performed on all modules as a routine part of our production process.
