September 26, 2016 - The MR50SRW series, available from MicroPower Direct, is a family of single output 50W converters packaged in a compact 2.28 x 1.45 inch case. They are designed to provide the wide input range, robust filtering, rugged packaging and reliability required for railway/transit applications.
Eight standard models operate from wide 43 VDC to 101 VDC (72 VDC nom) or 66 VDC to 160 VDC (110 VDC nom) inputs, providing tightly regulated single outputs of 5, 12, 15 or 24 VDC. Standard features include line/load regulation less than 1.0%, I/O isolation of 3,000 VAC rms, a remote control input and efficiency as high as 92%. All models are protected for output short circuit faults and output over current faults. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) is greater than 143 khours.
The MR50SRW family is packaged in a 2.28 x 1.45 x 0.50 inch case. Operation is specified for the wide industrial temperature range of -40°C to +75°C (an optional heat sink is available to extend the full power range of the unit).
