September 7, 2016 - MicroPower Direct, has released the MPO-500S series; a family of 500W AC/DC power supplies fabricated on a 5 x 3 inch open PC board. Three standard models operate from universal inputs of 90 to 264 VAC, providing single outputs of 12, 24, or 48 VDC. Standard features include EN 55022 B emissions, active power factor correction to EN 61000-3-2, I/O isolation of 3 kVAC, and a standby 5V output. All models are protected for over temperature, over load, over voltage & short circuit faults. Signals for DC OK and remote ON/OFF are provided, as well as a driver output for an external fan.
The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the MPO-500S series is greater than 160 khours. All models are approved to EN 60950.
The MPO-500S family is fabricated on a compact 5 x 3 x 1.4 inch open PC board. With 30 CFM airflow, they provide 500W of output power. Each model is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -30°C to +70°C (ambient).
