April 5, 2013 - MicroPower Direct releases MPU-400F 400W Power Supplies, which provide 400W of output power in a very compact package. These power supplies feature a universal AC input; active power factor correction; full safety approvals; robust filtering and compact construction. Standard models operate from a universal input of 90 to 264 VAC, providing tightly regulated single outputs. Outputs are factory set to 12, 24, or 48 VDC, but are available over a range of 2 to 60 VDC (contact the factory). Standard features include filtering to EN 55022 Class B, active power factor correction to EN 61000-3-2 D, peak output power to 700W, and an input/output isolation of 3,000 VAC.
All models are protected for over load, over voltage, over temperature and short circuit faults. Interface signals for Power On, Power Good Fan Fail and Remote On/Off are provided. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the MPU-400F series is greater than 100 khours. All models are approved to EN 60950. The series is certified to CE and is RoHS compliant.
The MPU-400F family is packaged in a compact 6 x 4 x 2.0 inch case with an internal, top mount, variable speed fan. Other series are available with an end-mount fan or a U-Channel Chassis. Each model is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of 0°C to +70°C (ambient). The MPU-400F series is an ideal solution for a wide variety of industrial power applications requiring high power density, robust performance, and economy.
