February 11, 2010 - Hardware from MicroSys will be delivered with a test-CD containing the logi.cals system solution. As a result customers now get an independent and approved “ready-to-use” solution, logi.PLC 5200, from a single source. Together, one gets the flexibility of an OEM hardware platform combined with a standard PLC.
The combined package also contains logi.CAD, an automation platform per IEC 61131-3, the PLC runtime system logi.RTS or logi.µRTS and depending on the actual system solution, the visualization software, logi.VIS.
This combination can provide significant user benefits as the solution simply requires the loading of a flash card which allows an immediate start with the development kit.
Independent and Approved Complete Solution
Hardware-partner MicroSys provides the hardware basis. logi.PLC 5200 in its standard configuration offers the MPE09 I/O card with:
- 8 digital inputs
- 8 digital output
- 4 analog inputs
- 2 analog outputs
The hardware is shipped together with logi.RTS, webSERVER and logi.VIS, and can be programmed with logi.CAD. logi.CAD is a well-proven, extremely powerful, highly productive, flexible and open IEC 61131-3 automation platform.
The PLC runtime system logi.RTS maps IEC 61131-3 compliant runtime behaviour to any available platform. Performance, high portability and a modular and scalable design are the outstanding features of this system.
Visualization Included
The complete package includes logi.VIS, a modular, scalable and efficient visualization platform. With a state-of-the-art editor, visualization applications can be quickly designed and stored on the control device. The .NET-based technology allows for display and operation on any standard PC, hand-held, smart phone or tablet PC, without the need to install additional software.
