Midwest Motion Products, a Watertown Minnesota based Manufacturing Company, is doing it’s part to help save lives in Iraq.The company has recently accepted a new high volume order for one of it’s DC Gearmotor designs that provides motion control for a unique “Ordnance Disposal Robot” that is presently being deployed in Iraq and other locales world wide. The Multi-Axis remote controlled robot is designed to secure any hazardous, dangerous or suspicious material and transport it to a safe location where it can be disarmed or destroyed. The ‘twin tracked’ Robot is able to traverse nearly any terrain and is even capable of climbing stairs to execute it’s mission.The manufacturer of the Robot is striving to meet the rapidly increasing demands of the US Military.
The President of the company was recently quoted as saying “we are shipping the Robots to Iraq as quickly as we can build them.
