May 14, 2018 –Mitsubishi Electric Automation introduced the C80 Series CNC. The rack-based C80 features a CNC-dedicated CPU designed to maximize the control’s performance.

CNC functions and drive units deliver machining, while a high-speed system bus provides data communication. The C80 is suitable for rotary dial machines, production machines using multiple processes, and automotive transfer lines.

The C80 also offers the ability to control all CNC CPUs on a PLC rack. Three CPUs control up to 21 system components and 48 axes, making it ideal for high axis count applications. In addition, the C80 can communicate with any module that can be used in a rack-based solution.
