January 8, 2020 – Mitsubishi Electric announced the release of the 9900D, a line of UPS products designed for the demands faced by today’s cloud and colocation data centers.
The 9900D uses 400kVA power modules integrated with intelligent bypass modules. The bypass modules are available in 1200kVA, 1600kVA, 2000kVA sizes with up to five power modules. The scalable design adds supplemental modules over time to meet increasing capacity needs.
With the 7 th generation IGBT based 3-level topology, the 9900D operates at up to 97 percent efficiency. The control architecture results in increased component life, lowharmonics and rapid responses to transients.
Mitsubishi Electric has an installed base of 9900 series uninterruptible power supplies that have sustained load-carrying capability greater than 99.9993 percent of their actual operational history.
