July 5, 2016 – Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. will exhibit its M8 Series CNC controls and eFactory enterprise connectivity solution for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) at the Industrial Automation North America show.
The M8 Series control platform is designed to address the need for a fast computerized numerical control (CNC) system for complex machining applications. The M800 is a CNC designed for high-speed, high-accuracy machining and multi-axis, multi-part system control and the M80 provides productivity and operability. Both offer a 19” capacitive touch screens with icon-based navigation for simple operation.
The MDS-E/EJ/EM Servo and Spindle Drives that accompany the controller have their own dedicated processors. The servo system provides smooth rotation and acceleration/deceleration capabilities that are optimized for precision machine tool applications. The Drive system also has built–in safety features, reducing the amount of wiring that is required. Motor encoder resolutions have increased to 1, 4, or 67 million pulses per revolution options.
