Features of these brushless voice coil motors makes them ideal for: Sorting, packaging, sampling, work holding and clamping, laser machining and drilling, scanning laser beam steering and filtering, wafer handling, and medical and pharmaceutical applications.

October 2, 2019 - Moticont has added two linear DC motors to its series of LVCM Linear Voice Coil Motors.

The additions to the LVCM Series shares the same physical dimensions as each is 2.000 in. (50.8 mm) in diameter and the housings are 5.000 in. (127.0 mm) long.

Features of these brushless voice coil motors makes them ideal for: Sorting, packaging, sampling, work holding and clamping, laser machining and drilling, scanning laser beam steering and filtering, wafer handling, and medical and pharmaceutical applications.

For applications requiring a longer stroke, the LVCM-051-127-02 features a stroke of 1.75 in. (44.5 mm) with a continuous force of 13.8 lbs (61.5 N) and a peak force of 43.7 lbs (194.4 N).

In comparison, the LVCM-051-127-03 has a continuous force of 22.4 lbs (99.5 N) and a peak force of 70.7 lbs (314.5 N) and a stroke length of 1.00 in. (25.4 mm) for application with a higher force to size ratio.

Both the LVCM-051-127-02 and the LVCM-051-127-03feature two 10-32 UNC-2B threaded mounting holes in the housing and two 10-32 UNC-2B threaded mounting holes in the coil end on 1.000 in. (25.4 mm) centers for integration into new and existing applications. A complete plug-and-play system including an encoder and servo controller is also available.
