April 12, 2018 -- The MTConnect Institute, standard development organization for MTConnect, announced the release of Version 1.4.0 of the MTConnect standard. MTConnect is an open-source communication standard for interoperability that offers a semantic vocabulary for manufacturing equipment and devices. This version expands the “Devices,” “Streams,” and “Interfaces” models, adds many new data items, and includes edits for clarity and usability.
The MTConnect Institute develops the MTConnect standard to foster greater interoperability between manufacturing controls, devices and software applications.
