Aug. 3, 2026 — Murrelektronik showcased six new automation solutions at Automate 2026, demonstrating how machine builders and system integrators can simplify system design while improving flexibility, performance and scalability. The new products support the industry's continued shift toward modular, decentralized automation by reducing complexity across safety, connectivity, power distribution and IO-Link integration.
Among the highlights were the new IO-Link Control Box, which combines configurable pushbuttons and an integrated emergency stop into a single intelligent operator interface. Featuring plug-and-play M12 connectivity, the solution enables rapid integration into IO-Link systems for both new machine designs and retrofit applications. When paired with the MVK Fusion CIP Safety fieldbus module, it provides a complete safety solution over EtherNet/IP, reducing hardware requirements while maintaining high levels of control and system reliability.
Murrelektronik also introduces its M12 Double-End Safety Cable, engineered to make machine safety connections more visible, durable and easier to deploy. Its distinctive red jacket allows for quick identification during installation and maintenance, while a range of connector options supports diverse application requirements. The cable is also compatible with Rockwell Automation's GuardLink technology, enabling seamless integration into existing safety architectures.
Expanding its connectivity portfolio, Murrelektronik debuted the ASi Power Tap Adapter, which delivers up to 63 VDC from AS-Interface flat cables to M12 L-coded devices. Lever-operated insulation piercing technology enables fast, tool-free installation while providing a secure, vibration-resistant connection suitable for demanding industrial environments.
Also on display was the pure.IO, the company's next-generation IO-Link platform. Designed to be compact, lightweight and easy to deploy, pure.IO supports PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT within a single multi-protocol platform. Integrated diagnostics provide a comprehensive 360-degree view of module status, improving system transparency, accelerating troubleshooting and enhancing operational efficiency.
Completing the product lineup are Daisy Chain IO and the Aggregator Hub, two solutions designed to further simplify decentralized machine architectures. Daisy Chain IO enables multiple devices to be connected using a single cable for both power and data, reducing wiring complexity and supporting cabinet-free machine designs. The Aggregator Hub consolidates multiple sensor and actuator signals into a single IO-Link interface, minimizing wiring requirements and streamlining integration with higher-level control systems.
