March 12, 2013 – Nanotec Electronic introduces SC Series stepper motor with an optical encoder. The motors come in sizes 41 (Nema 17) and 60 mm (Nema 24) and have a holding torque of 0.5 and 3.54 Nm, respectively, and a step resolution of 1.8°.

The encoder has a high resolution of 4000 CPR, with quadrature, it can reach 16,000 pulses per revolution. A 5-V and 24-V encoder is available, each with a line driver. The motor and encoder have integrated connectors for simple and fast installation. This combination is ideal for closed loop applications with position feedback. Stepper motors with Nanotec closed loop controls operate more smoothly and have Torque, Speed and Position Control.

Thus, they can be used in applications that were formerly only reserved for servo motors with gearboxes.
