July 9, 2015 - The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published NEMA 5-2015 Installation Guidelines for Surface Nonmetallic Raceway.
NEMA PRP 5 provides information on the proper application and installation of surface nonmetallic raceway permitted for use in dry locations, non-hazardous locations, and areas not subject to physical abuse, in accordance with the National Electrical Code and the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
This new publication, which was developed by the NEMA Polymer Raceway Products Technical Committee, includes recommended practices concerning installation tools, handling and storage, raceway cutting, bending, securing and supporting, fittings and boxes, transition, divider wall(s) and accessories, wire fill, splices and taps, grounding, cleaning, and installation verification.
NEMA PRP 5-2014 may be downloaded for free or purchased in hard copy for $85 on the NEMA website.
