The NEMA standard for motors and generators recently received approval from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

July 11, 2012–The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for motors and generators recently received approval from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

ANSI/NEMA MG 1-2011 Motors and Generators conveys practical information concerning performance, safety, test, construction, and manufacture of ac and dc motors and generators. This standard assists users in the proper selection and application of motors and generators.
