TVU-IR automatically checks for the presence, size, and depth of internal or external threads for toolchangers.
April 2, 2008 - Baltimore, MD – New Vista Corporation has developed a Thread Verification Unit for use in automatic toolchanging machining centers. The TVU-IR resides in a CNC’s toolchanger, and is automatically deployed like any other tool. The TVU-IR automatically checks for the presence, size, and depth of internal or external threads. Following inspection, the battery-powered unit sends a “pass” or “fail” infrared signal to a standard receiving unit. The TVU-IR is capable of GO gaging, NO GO gaging, and combination gaging.
Three sizes will inspect threads from 3mm to 50mm (#4 to 2”). Cycle times start at .7 seconds. This product is a complement to New Vista’s existing line of Thread Verification products.
