December 21, 2016 - On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS S.A. de C.V. Mexico opened an assembly plant and office in Huimilpan, in the state of Querétaro, Mexico.

The facility is one of five assembly centers of the international NORD DRIVESYSTEMS Group in North America.

The grand opening was attended by 100 visitors, distributors, OEMs, logistics partners, and end users from all over the country. Jose Luis Aguilera, Secretary of Labor of the state of Querétaro, represented the state governor. Guests from NORD Gear Corporation, USA, and talks that covered topics such as future expansion plans for the Mexico and US operations, a growing presence in Latin America, and NORD’s history both in Mexico and globally made this an event of truly global importance. NORD Mexico has experienced continuous growth, with a 70% sales increase since 2012.

The anniversary celebrations were held in a very joyous spirit with dinner, dancing, and a Mariachi tribute to an employee celebrating his birthday. Two employees who have been with the Mexican subsidiary from the start received special recognition. The Huimilpan facility, which now boasts a shop floor of 1,860 m², is poised to expand its assembly capacity and add more product lines in the coming years.
