April 16, 2012 – Northwire announced LSZH low smoke zero halogen cable. LSZH offers cold temperature resistance and has superior bend, variable, torsional and rolling flexibility across the temperature range of -50°C to 90°C. Custom designs available, over-mold and assembly compatible and can be coiled for retractile applications.

Resistant to kinks, cuts and abrasions, LSZH is ideally suited for applications in close confinement areas where public health and safety are paramount, including rolling stock, marine shipboard, aerospace and other applications where it’s critical to protect people and equipment from toxic and corrosive gas.

“Northwire is pleased to offer another premier custom product to our valued customers. The voice of our customers combined with industry safety requirements drove the development of our unique LSZH composition,” explains Michael Conger, president. “Northwire is proud to be the first and only US manufacturer to utilize this new chemistry.” says Conger.
