Osceola, WI—September 28, 2005—Northwire Inc. has introduced new power cordage that is TC/Exposed-run and STOOW Service-rated. EnduroFLEX® ERP dual-rated cabling is compliant with NPFA-79-2002, allowing exposed power trunk and drop cables on machinery up to 40 amps when installed in compliance with applicable codes. “EnduroFLEX ERP was designed to significantly reduce installation time and costs by eliminating the need for conduit or metal clad cable,” said Ted Beach, Director of Sales for Northwire. “ERP cable is also oil, water and sunlight resistant, and rated for outdoor use as portable cordage for power trunk and drop configurations as allowed by NEC,” added Beach.

Northwire EnduroFLEX ERP can be used with connectors to speed installation and enhance machine maintenance with exposed runs versus costly metal clad cable or time-consuming conduit plumbing. ERP cable meets UL1277 crush and impact requirements, which permits exposed runs of tray cable for non-code defined distances between the cable tray and equipment. EnduroFLEX ERP passes 40°C cold bend tests, meets UL vertical tray and CSA FT-4 flame resistance, as well as Oil I and II resistance standards. Northwire EnduroFLEX ERP cable is available in standard 3 and 4-conductor models, and in gauges ranging from 18 AWG to 10 AWG. Standard cables are available in stock to 15 days with no minimum quantity required through NorthwireDirect, the company’s quick ship program.

Customs and variants including designs, conductors, materials, lengths, put-ups, legends, colors and constructions are also available with industry-leading turnaround. To learn more about EnduroFLEX ERP cable, go to www.northwire.com for free specification downloads and cable samples.
