April 17, 2019 - Novotechnik, U.S. introduced the WAL 340 hollow shaft angle sensor that provides absolute, rotary position. Sensor dimensions are 32 x 39 mm. A unique notch that is built into the housing aids alignment.

The WAL 340 has a measurement range of 0 to 290°. Mechanical range is a continuous 360° with no stop. It accepts an 8 mm D-Shaped shaft.

Other key specifications include resolution of < 0.3°, repeatability of 0.3° and independent linearity of ±1% of measurement range.

As an absolute sensor, the WAL 340 continues to track angle even if power is removed, reporting the correct position when power is restored.

The WAL 340 sensor has a minimum life of 20 million mechanical movements and is protected from ingress of water and dust to IP 65. Cable and connector versions are available.
