January 18, 2009 - Open Systems International (OSI) introduced a new release of its monarch (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform, which has been specifically targeted for mid-tier utilities. monarch/mt (mid-tier) offers growing cooperatives and municipal utilities a quality and easy to implement SCADA and automation platform at a very affordable price point.OSI has electric utility customers of many diverse sizes.
Due to the flexibility and scalability of the monarch platform and associated products, OSI has been meeting the critical automation needs of large, Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), Rural Electric Cooperatives (REC) and Municipalities.monarch/mt is based on Windows or Linux operating systems and offers a User Interface system based on Microsoft .NET technology.
