September 7, 2017 - Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been awarded a contract by Mid-South Synergy (MSS) to supply a new Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) based on OSI's monarch (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform. This system will provide MSS with improved distribution operations.

OSI’s solution will replace MSS’s legacy QEI system and will include the following features: OSI’s advanced Graphical User Interface (GUI); Communications Front-end Processor; Real-time and Historical Trending; Advanced Alarm Management System; Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Load Shed and Restoration; Distribution Mapping and Visualization; Distribution Power Flow; Volt/VAR Control with Conservation Voltage Reduction; Fault Location Isolation and Service Restoration; Feeder Reconfiguration; Switch Order Management; Short-Term Load Forecasting; Inter-control Center Communications Protocol; Geographic Information Systems Interface; Enhanced Protocol Analyzer; Voyager, OSI’s Remote/Mobile Browser-based User Interface; and CHRONUS, OSI's next-generation historian.
