KAMO Power owns and operates approximately 3,900 miles of 69kV, 138kV, 161kV and 345kV transmission lines. KAMO owns and operates approximately 290 delivery point substations along with 75 transmission substations. KAMO purchases 100% of its wholesale power from Associated Electric Cooperative (AECI) in Springfield, Missouri. The primary reason for this project is to add new security and applications to meet the needs of KAMO and their member distribution systems for the next decade.

KAMO Power’s new OSI Transmission and Distribution Management system includes advanced functionality supported by OSI’s .NET based Graphical User Interface, advanced SCADA functionality, Transmission and Distribution applications including Short-Term Load Forecasting; Transmission Network Topology Processing; GIS Interfaces; Distribution Mapping; Distribution Topology Processing; Volt/VAR Control; Fault Location, Isolation and System Restoration; Distribution Power Flow; Feeder Reconfiguration; and MultiSpeak interfaces to other 3rd party applications. OSI technology will replace a legacy Siemens TG control system. KAMO Power is a generation and transmission (G&T) electric cooperative with headquarters located in Vinita, Oklahoma.

KAMO Power provides wholesale power for 17 distribution cooperatives serving southwest Missouri and northeast Oklahoma. KAMO’s 17 distribution cooperatives serve approximately 275,000 consumer members. OSI provides open, state-of-the-art and high-performance automation solutions to utilities worldwide.
