OST supplies, installs, commissions and supports machine vision systems based on Sick, Matrox, Cognex, DVT, Keyence and Omron camera technologies.

June 17, 2009 - Oxford Sensor Technology (OST), the Oxfordshire based machine vision specialist, now supplies, installs, commissions and supports machine vision systems based on a range of “smart”/ “intelligent” camera technologies. The service is designed for both new and current machine vision users:

For new users:

OST will supply the best solution for their application, based on cost and technical requirements. Selecting from Sick, Matrox, Cognex, DVT, Keyence, Omron etc. OST will supply, configure, install, test and prove, a total machine vision package. In the difficult economic climate cost reductions and quality improvements are more important than ever. Machine vision allows greater automation and 100% inspection, which will benefit the majority of manufacturers.

For existing users:

Oxford Sensor Technology will supply additional installations based upon the same camera technology that is currently being used, allowing commonality of spares and reducing the need for training. OST will also undertake maintenance and modifications to current installations where the owner lacks the necessary expertise, time or resources. OST will restore people’s faith in machine vision systems, faith which may have lapsed due to a problematic installation or systems being over sold. Oxford Sensor Technology is a British company which celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year. It has ISO9001 accreditation and a major client base which includes Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Fiat, Honda, Renault and Ferrari.

This new venture will allow OST’s vast experience of problem solving to be used in a range of new application areas. Oxford Sensor Technology will continue to supply and support its PC based vision systems and specialist sensors for the guidance of industrial robots in welding and assembly applications.
