CHARLOTTE NC, May 21, 2008 - The SSD Drives Division of Parker Hannifin released two new communication option cards for the AC890 and AC890PX adjustable speed drives. Users can now choose from seven protocols including the newly released Ethernet/IP and Modbus/TCP cards. The cards are easily installed, plugging into an option slot on the AC890 drive, and can be configured with DSE Lite software. The advantages of Ethernet include its growing popularity on the factory floor, ease of networking, and commercially available, low-cost cable and connectors.
The new cards are compatible with AC890 firmware version 3.2 and later. Existing drives can be updated with current firmware by free download.
