September 2, 2009 - PCB Piezotronics acquired a substantial portion of assets and intellectual property from RS Technologies Ltd, a leading supplier of load cells, torque transducers, wheel force transducers, and fastening/assembly test equipment to the Automotive, Aerospace, Power Tool, and Heavy Equipment industries. PCB Piezotronics completed the acquisition through PCB Load & Torque, Inc., its wholly]owned subsidiary, which purchased the RS Technologies Ltd. assets and which will own and operate the newly acquired business.
PCB Load & Torque, Inc. will operate out of the existing RS Technologies Ltd. world headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI and employ many of the current RS Technologies Ltd. production, engineering, and support staff, who bring many years of experience and expertise in their respective areas.
A new website for PCB Load & Torque, Inc. has been launched with updated product information and news. This acquisition strengthens the current PCB Piezotronics portfolio, which already covers a wide variety of sensing and signal conditioning technologies. With the addition of many new products from the RS Technologies Ltd. catalogue, the additional experienced staff, and state of the art production / calibration center, PCB Piezotronics and its affiliated companies can now better serve their customers worldwide.
