October 24, 2013 - PEAK-System introduces PCAN-Ethernet DR Gateway to allow the connection of different CAN buses over IP networks. CAN frames are wrapped in TCP or UDP message packets and are then forwarded via the IP net from one device to the other. The configuration of the devices is done via a comfortable web interface. Besides a variety of status information, settings for the device itself, for the communication interfaces, and for message routing are provided. The PCAN-Ethernet Gateway DR has a LAN interface and two High-speed CAN channels with a bit rate of up to 1 Mbit/s.
By the extended operating temperature range of -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F) and the plastic housing for mounting on a DIN rail, the PCAN-Ethernet Gatway DR is suitable for use in industrial environments.
